First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for their patience over the last day while we've been doing maintenance and updates on our backend. From the eyes of someone working on it, trying to get it done as fast as possible is really stressful. So thank you for not rushing us.
I'd also like to say that the maintenance was really for behind the scenes stuff, so that's why there isn't so many new features as other updates.
That's right! We've got a brand new hub, made by the talented @micah_ and @CraftDirt - With the bigger space, you'll have more room for gadgets, etc, as well as just a bigger area to socialise with other players. Also you're actually able to walk into the portal on this hub.
As stated above, the latest maintenance was for our backend (the stuff that runs the servers, games, features, etc.) - We've been working on "future proofing" the server. We have so...
Just to inform you that the network will be going into maintenance mode - this is to update our servers and deploy a new backend system we've been working on for a while.
We don't know how long this will take, however, we'll keep you updated with the status of the network so you guys can get an estimate.
Thanks for reading, and sorry for an inconvenience this may cause!
Update #1: This is taking longer than expected, we're working as hard as we can to get the server back up! Update #2: We'll be putting the network up later tonight. We're very sorry for the inconvenience but we need sleep too. Update #3: We're just ironing out the bugs and then will begin to bring the network back up.
Before we get into this update, from the entire Mineswine Staff Team we'd like to wish you all an amazing holiday and a prosperous new year! Now, let's get into this thing...
Introducing parties! What are parties? Parties are something you can create with a small group of friends and play games with them. When in a party, and server the party leader joins the entire party will join with them! We have more plans for parties, but for now, it has the standard features. Eventually, when minigames come out, players in parties will be put on the same team, etc.
With this update, everyone has access to /profile. Here they can view their information as well as active game passes and so much more will be coming out soon. In the coming weeks, you'll be able to set your language, view achievements and your level rewards (spoilers) and eventually view your game statistics. You can access this GUI with /profile on any Mineswine...
Mineswine has a lot of awesome and fun updates in the works, games, features, etc. One of the features we're currently implementing is translations! Yes, that's right we're going to allow users to select from a variety of languages in order to understand our games more. You can see a teaser on my profile.
Because of this, we're looking for translators to help us translate English messages into a language. This is where you come in. If you speak a language that isn't English and meet all the requirements (below), then feel free to apply for help us!
Must be fluent/near fluent in the language you know
Must not be from any computer-based translator
Must be able to understand English
If you meet these requirements, please direct message me filling out the following template. Please note that if I haven't replied to you, this doesn't mean you're not going to be able to translate! I'll be looking through them at a later...
Yup, you read that right, this game is coming back and this is only the first stage! Currently, you need to buy an alpha pass to join however in the future this will change. The new game will feel sort of like a home away from home, it's still JediCraft but you've been thrown into a whole new world and era. Now keep in mind this is just alpha and the full release is going to have way more features. We've also made a lot of changes to basic gameplay, just incase you get lost you can get help here.
RESOURCE PACK We have been looking forwards to this just as much as you, and nothing makes you feel like a Jedi (or Sith) more than having a 3d lightsaber in your hand. Our modelers have been hard at work creating amazing 3d textures and sounds so you all feel immersed in the new Jedi craft. Make sure you have resource packs set to enabled for Mineswine or because...
As you may or may not know, since Mineswine changed owners, I have been the Systems Administrator for the network and everything surrounding it. So since I am doing a lot of things behind the scenes, I thought it would be good for you guys to know what is happening!
So with Minecraft 1.11 being released recently, I was quite involved with testing the latest versions of Craftbukkit and Spigot and with all that testing I also became aware that Minecraft 1.11 has quite a few crippling bugs. While these bugs can be fixed, a lot of people I know do prefer 1.10.2 as it is just generally more stable and has way less bugs than before. However, although the client may have several crippling issues, the server side of things does not. So that means Mineswine will be updating to 1.11 for everything server side as soon as we are able to. We will still support at least 1.10, but most likely 1.9+ clients and from what I have been seeing, you...
I'd like to start this post off by thanking all of you who have applied for moderator on Mineswine in hopes to help improve the server and keep it a safe place for everyone to enjoy (all 78 of you)! This being said, we are not approving moderator applications going forward for the time being. Let me explain exactly what this means.
If you submit a moderator application, and we like it, we will save it for when we need more moderators.
We will still be looking at every application we get.
We are not automatically denying applications during this time period.
The normal 30 day time period in which you may submit another application still holds, but know that your first application may not have been denied, but we just do not need more moderators at the moment.
Again, we will still fairly look over each application, but hopefully this helps everyone understand where we are right now with hiring staff members. Remember that you may not ask any...
